TIS and RCM Join Forces To Host Charity Music Concert
The International School of Macao (TIS) and the Rotary Club of Macau (RCM) joined forces to present the highly anticipated Charity Music Concert on June 8th. Held at the Parisian Theatre of the Parisian Macao, generously provided by Sands China Ltd., the event hosted a 300-person audience with exceptional musical performances from over 150 student musicians across 7 ensembles and numerous soloists, showcasing 21 distinct performances with multilingual MCs and entertainment.
"At TIS, we believe in the transformative power of music and its importance in education," said Lorne Schmidt, the Head of School at TIS. "This event allowed us to showcase our students' exceptional musical abilities while supporting a worthy cause. Music has the power to inspire, unite, and create positive change in the community."
TIS hosts a concert annually at the end of the school year, but this year the event was made more special through the support of the Rotary Club of Macau and Sands China Ltd. "We're thrilled to collaborate with RCM and present this concert, exemplifying our commitment to social responsibility," continued Schmidt.
The concert raised 60,000 MOP for the Macau Child Development Association (MCDA), supporting their important work in the community. “We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the performers for their outstanding accomplishments,” said João Pinto, President of RCM. “Their commitment to excellence in music is truly inspiring. It was an honour to be part of an event that showcased the transformative power of music and brought the community together.”
